- This study explores the creative activities of those engaging with alternative and artisanal food movements, with the aim of providing a new understanding of creativity in places of work. Taking a critical position, I argue that existing organisational creativity literature provides a partial view, from which certain features have been overlooked. Addressing these limitations, I turn to the work of Lev Semyonovich Vygotsky, and explore the possibilities offered by a view which sees creativity as something more intimately entangled with our experience and relations with the world around us. These views are illustrated empirically through a narrative and visual inquiry and directions for further research are offered.
